Nick Moon began his career as a drummer in various bands in the midwest. After attending Fullsail, Nick worked at Studio Chicago fulltime. The studio had a wide variety of clients including: Blue Note Records, Kanye West, Anthrax, Phil Collins and many more.
Nick left Chicago for Texas to work at Reeltime Audio and record Jazz at UNT.
Clients at Reeltime Audio included: Brave Combo, Bowling for Soup, Cross Canadian Ragweed, and more.
After arriving in Portland in 2006 Nick opened a purpose built, make each cable by hand, best of everything mastering studio. In 2010 his new facility which was built from the ground up opened to much fan fair.
Nick has credits all thoughout the music biz. He has many top 100 mixing and recording credits along with several world wide tours that he managed.
You will find very few people with as much wide ranging experience and the willingness to go the extra mile than Nick Moon.

Randy Rollofson: Mastering Engineer

Randy moved to Portland in 2002 after receiving a degree in music from the University Of Oregon. He is one of the top drummers in the area and performs frequently. Over the past few years Randy has become increasingly involved with the engineering, mixing, and mastering of music. He has worked on projects in a wide range of styles including jazz artists Tim Willcox, David Valdez, and Dan Duval, pop/electronica artist Shannon Day, hip hop artist Mentality, and Indie band Echo Helstrom. Randy's ears and knowledge of music make him a valuable asset to the Tone Proper team.

Dave Friedlander: Mastering Engineer

Dave friedlander began his professional audio career as a recording engineer at Paisley Park studios, a world class facility in Minneapolis Minnesota owned by Prince. Dave quickly rose thru the ranks and began mixing and mastering projects by Prince and other Paisley Park/Warner Brothers artists such as George Clinton, gospel artist Mavis Staples, Madhouse, and saxaphonist Eric Leeds. His first mastering job at Paisley Park was the critically acclaimed "Prince, the hits" 2 cd set.
      After relocating to Portland Oregon dave has worked for years as an independent engineer recording, mixing, and mastering a huge list of the pacific northwest's finest artists. This list includes world renowned recording artists Pink Martini, The Nu Shooz, Everclear,Patrick Lamb and Stephanie Schneiderman. His most recent mastering projects includes electronic artists Makintosh/Braun, rock opera Sally Tomato, remastering Billy Rancher and the Unreal Gods, Hip Hop artists The Lifesavas and irish rockers Amadan.
