How to upload your project to Tone Proper Mastering

Step 1) Fill out the "Mastering Request Form" so we know who you are and what you need. Please be sure to include a way to contact you and your projects name.
Step 3) You will receive a username and password to Tone Proper's in house server for you to upload audio to and receive audio from the studio.

**When uploading please label your folder with your name or band name!
Step 2) Create a new folder to put all of your mixes inside of. Label each song with a number or a song title or both. Make sure your files are the original unmastered 24bit mixes with no dither, sample rate conversion or heavy limiting. Inside the folder with the audio include a text file with notes that may be useful like track order (correct spelling). Label the folder appropriately and zip it. We really love FLAC files too. Technical Specifications for your files

Bit depth:
Usually in 16 or 24 bits. If your project was recorded at 24bits please send 24bit mixes do not use dither or change the bit depth from the original mixes.
Compression / Limiting:
At the discretion of the mixing engineer of-course but if a limiter is on only to make the mix louder please remove it. Examples of this or the Waves L2 or TC Finalizer. All no no's.
Sample Rate:
Also known as Sampling Frequency. Usally 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 192. Same rules apply. If your project was mixed at 96khz please send that file. Do not sample rate convert up or down.
